Lizzy Caplan is returning to American Dad as the voice of overweight Goth girl Debbie, Steve’s former girlfriend.
Caplan, who was seen earlier this year as Marlena in the J.J. Abrams film Cloverfield, will feature in the fourth season episode Escape from Pearl Bailey in which “Steve plots to get revenge against the popular girls at school who torment losers” and, according to the press release, “losers” includes the likes of “his girlfriend Debbie”! So, it sounds like Steve and Debbie may be back together, and perhaps signals more of her character in future episodes.
Escape from Pearl Bailey will be on Fox on Sunday November 9th at 9.30/8.30C. However, there’s a new episode on Fox before that this Sunday, Choosy Wives Choose Smith, at the usual time.
