American Dad has lost out on winning this year’s Emmy award for Outstanding Animated Program to South Park. Other nominees included The Simpsons and Seth Green’s Robot Chicken. South Park episode Margaritaville won the series the award in last night’s ceremony which included Seth MacFarlane as one of the guest presenters.

The season 4 première, Sixteen-Hundred Candles, was put forward for the award. Family Guy remains in the running for this year’s Outstanding Comedy award which has yet to be announced.

The last American Dad episode of the current season airs tonight on Fox at 9.30pm. Stan’s Night Out features the guest-voice of Grammy Award winner Joss Stone.

American Dad season 5 will start on Fox in the fall.

Daddy Queerest is tonight’s new episode of American Dad, the last but one of the current season which ends next week. Gay neighbors Greg and Terry worry when Terry’s father, football great Tank Bates, announces that he will be coming to Langley Falls for a visit; Terry still hasn’t come-out to his father! Meanwhile Steve learns the meaning of “beer-goggles”.

Every Which Way But Lose is on Fox tonight at 9.30pm. Steve joins a junior football team to make Stan proud whilst Francine and Hayley compete for a blue ribbon at the Langley County Fair.

American Dad Volume 4 is out on DVD from Tuesday featuring episodes from the current season, and a few from season 3!

Stan and Steve take a road-trip tonight on the Delorean Story-An episode of American Dad from 9.30pm on Fox.

A month of new American Dad is on its way as season 4 comes to an end with the season finale on May 17th with Stan’s Night Out featuring the guest-voice Joss Stone; other new episodes include Every Which Way But Lose (April 26th), Weiner of Our Discontent (May 3rd), and Daddy Queerest (May 10th).

Every Which Way But Lose

Steve joins a junior football team to make Stan proud but gets kicked off the team for not being good enough after a hyper-competitive Stan assumes the position of head coach. Out for revenge, Steve and Roger recruit a new team of misfits who threaten Stan’s perfect season. Meanwhile, Francine and Hayley compete for a blue ribbon at the Langley County Fair.

Weiner of Our Discontent

Stan has had enough of Roger’s antics! When he calls Roger out, Roger claims he has been sent to Earth to determine the fate of mankind. Stan challenges him to prove it, and is tickled pink when he learns Roger’s real purpose for being on Earth. Roger struggles to get a grip on reality until a fateful turn of events helps put things in perspective.

Daddy Queerest

Neighbors Terry and Greg are nervous when Terry’s father, football great Tank Bates, announces that he will be coming to town for a visit. Terry is worried because his dad doesn’t know he’s gay, has a baby or lives with his partner. Meanwhile, Steve goes on a drunken bender and learns the meaning of “beer goggles.”

Stan’s Night Out (season finale)

Grammy Award winner Joss Stone guest-voices in the season finale of AMERICAN DAD. Stan leaves Francine at home to go out with the boys, but guys’ night out goes from wild to reckless when Stan finds himself in one compromising situation after another. Meanwhile, Roger and Hayley use their charm and looks to attract a frat boy.

The next new episode of American Dad will be after Easter on Sunday April 19th with Delorean Story-An:-

“Stan is excited about finally building his dream car: a DeLorean. Francine encourages him to include Steve, so the two take a road trip in search of doors for the sports car. The trip veers off-track when there is a mad dash across the country to get the last set of doors available.”

Before then there will be a number of chances to catch-up with some already-aired episodes of American Dad as part of Fox’s Animation Domination line-up.

Possibly the last new episode of American Dad for a while goes out tonight ending a run of new episodes throughout March. Tonight’s episode is Wife Insurance in which Stan reveals his backup plan if Francine was to die. Catch it on Fox at 9.30pm ET/PT.

Family Guy‘s Seth Green is guesting on tonight’s new episode of American Dad. He’ll be playing a stuck-up Jewish character who hits on Steve’s girlfriend Debbie (voiced by Lizzy Caplan). Bar Mitzvah Shuffle is on Fox tonight from 9.30pm, straight after a new episode of Family Guy.
