April will see the release of Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade Of Cartoon Comedy on Blu-ray and DVD. The 54 minute Blu-ray/DVD release will feature, “never before seen, exclusive new episodes” dubbed as, “too outrageous for TV or the internet!” It is set for release April 21st, 2009, with a recommended retail price of $29.99 for the Blu-ray version.

The Cavalcade shorts work well on the web due to their quick delivery of jokes (although a bit hit-and-miss), but watching 54 minutes of them in one sitting would be a bit much! Unless they do something clever with the presentation of these shorts I don’t really see the point in this release.

I really wish Family Guy Seasons 1-7 and American Dad Volumes 1-3 would get released on Blu-ray Disc in the UK but with the Dolby Digital Plus logo next to the DTS HD Lossless Master Audio logo on the back cover along with the USA and Canada variant of the 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment logo from 1995-2006 on the genuine hologram on the non USA and non Canada released DVDs and Blu-ray Disc videos and the writing underneath the Dolby logo should say: Dolby and the double D symbol are trademarks of Dolby Laboratories Licensing Corporation the USA and Canada variant of the 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment logo from 1995 should also be put onto the DVDs that are released outside Canada and outside the USA

@Peter
You’ll probably find that Fox release the series again on Blu-ray at some future date, just so that they can get additional money out of fans by getting them to replace their DVD collections.
You completely lost me on your Dolby rant though! :D

Neat! Nice idea to release these for retail. They were all quite funny, so I hope they release a DVD here in Australia for it (if not, I’ll just important the US one from Amazon).

I really think Bruce Willis who guest starred as Rachel’s boyfriend in three episodes of Friends in 2000 should guest voice in Family Guy as well as American Dad I wish he’d grow his back in altogether but no I gotta accept that he’s gone completely bald because of his hairline receiding
I also think Jennifer Aniston should guest voice in Family Guy and in American Dad 20th Century Fox should make a theatrical Family Guy movie as well as a theatrical American Dad movie I have that direct to home video movie: Family Guy Presents: Stewie Griffin The Untold Story Family Guy Happy Freakin’ Christmas Family Guy Presents: Blue Harvest Family Guy Seasons 1-7 and American Dad Volumes 1-3 on DVD I’m gonna get more Family Guy and American Dad DVDs when they come out

I’ve read about Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade Of Cartoon Comedy which’ll soon be released on Blu-ray and DVD by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment I’ll soon actually find out that Family Guy will soon be released on Blu-ray.

I know that 20th Century Fox has been contracted to keep producing episodes of Family Guy until 2012
but I’ve got a request: I’d like you to call Seth MacFarlane the creator of Family Guy and American Dad and tell him that I’d like him to ask Matt Groening how long 20th Century Fox is going to keep producing episodes of The Simpsons until my eldest cousin is in a wheelchair because a certain part of his brain which controls his legs is damaged and it’s always been that way ever since he was born he collects every single season of The Simpsons on DVD every single year like I do with collecting future Family Guy and American Dad DVD releases when they come out: I think The Simpsons isn’t quite as good as it used to be since it’s been on TV a lot longer than Family Guy American Dad South Park and The King Of The Hill

Family Guy Volume 7 is out in the US on June 16th; whilst there’s been no news yet, I’d expect to see it released in the UK around the same date. The news of the US release has only just been released, and we’re still waiting for an official announcement!
