Sunday night saw the season premières of Family Guy and American Dad as part of Fox’s Animation Domination Sunday night line-up. According to EW.com, 9.2 million tuned in for Love Blactually (Family Guy‘s season 7 première) which was down 15 percent from last year’s première. Meanwhile, American Dad was up 13 percent from last year’s start with the episode 1600 Candles watched by 6.9 million viewers. Along with The Simpsons and King of the Hill “Fox ranked first among 18- to 34-year-olds”, reports the New York Times.
Reception among fans of Family Guy‘s return seem mixed. A feeling of disappointment is apparent over on the forums and annoyance with the continual saga of Brian’s love life. However, American Dad has gone down better as its fan-base continues to grow.
