The next ‘Road to…’ Family Guy episode is coming to Fox in a couple of weeks time (October 19th). Road to Germany sees Brian and Stewie travelling back to 1939 Nazi-occupied Poland to rescue Mort. “When they discover they’re in Poland on the day of the Nazi invasion, things go from bad to worse and the trio has to find a way back to Quahog safely” (The Futon Critic).
The ‘Road to…’ episodes started back in 2000 with Road to Rhode Island, the episode title being a reference to the Road to… comedy film series that starred Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, and Dorothy Lamour. These episodes focus on the travelling adventures of Brian and Stewie and have special title sequences featuring still images based on the episode with a musical fanfare taken from the 1942 film Road to Morocco.
