Family Guy has received a nomination for this year’s best comedy Emmy award. This makes it only the second animated series to be nominated in this category in the Emmy awards’ history; The Flintstones was nominated back in 1961, but lost to The Jack Benny Show.
Family Guy will be up against Entourage and Flight of the Conchords (HBO), How I Met Your Mother (CBS), The Office (NBC), and Weeds (Showtime). Question is, can Seth MacFarlane’s often controversial animated comedy beat the competition and become the first ever animated show to win this award?
