Family Guy Weekend 2010 coming to BBC Three

Family Guy Presents: Seth and Alex's Almost Live Comedy Show

Good news for British fans of Family Guy: the BBC has posted details of the premiere of the eigth season of Family Guy on BBC Three that will be part of a weekend of programmes dedicated to the show.

The weekend of shows on BBC Three will include two new episodes (never shown before on UK TV), the UK premiere of Seth and Alex’s Almost Live Comedy Show, and a brand new documentary from the same team that produced the two specials Creating the Chaos and The Story So Far.

Here's what Richard Mills, producer and director of the new doc, had to say about the new programme:-

"In a nutshell our fab show sees the first count of character air-time in the show's history. We'll chart the top 20 characters featured in the show, based on the amount of screen time they have had across all of the Family Guy series.

"Alongside exclusive interviews from the cast and crew (Creator - Seth MacFarlane, Voice of Chris Griffin - Seth Green, Voice of Meg Griffin - Mila Kunis etc) we are approaching British celebrity fans to get their view on Quahog's finest residents, and of course, we'll be showing some all time favourite clips as well as some exclusive footage from the new series."

We still have no confirmation of when exactly this is going to take place but it is coming soon...

Yep that’s it Planet FG, keep copying stories from FSN, heaven forbid you bother to do any research of your own or credit FSN. Then again it’s not like you have any credibility left after that April Fools thing anyway.

@Amanda Sooo PFG drops the ball with that story! but that’s no reason to get upset about it! everyone makes mistakes.

@Amanda, sorry but I think you will find that FSN copied the story from the BBC, the source that we have used for the above story. Planet Family Guy is a Family Guy news website where we report news about the show. At times other websites will post similar news stories to us but that is not the same as copying. It’s not as though this is a rip-off site that has been setup because of another’s success; we have been running this place for almost 10 years now (that’s a lot longer than the others)!!!

This is great news about new episodes on BBC3. The count down of characters sounds cool too. I wonder whether Meg will be in the top 6???

And besides, Looking back at FSN’s April Fools thing, They didn’t even offer any links to sources to go with the story. Looking at PFGs there is a link to TV.com which links….back to the FSN story where there are no links to sources.

    Real smooth!

Thank God! I was starting to despair that we would never get any new Family Guy episodes! Dramatic as that seemed. I cannot wait. Please keep us posted on when you hear of an actual broadcast date.

    Thanks guys!

Hi Reece, sorry to disappoint you but it is not on the schedules for next weekend. Looks like the film The Lake House is on Saturday night and Heroes and a show about autistic drivers on the Sunday night. That said I did see that the Beeb have started to trail the Family Guy Weekend. Caught a trailer last night and it looked great. They only said “coming soon”, but for the BBC that probably means in a couple of weeks and definitely no more than a month. May looks set to be the month to watch for!!!

I do believe it is perfectly acceptable, and more and more common, to aggregate news stories from various sources. As long as PFG credits the original source, what the hell is the problem? (in response to Amanda).
