To promote the release of Family Guy Season 7 on DVD in the UK (out next Monday, and is the UK’s confusingly titled version of the recently released Volume 6 in the US) Fox have released a new online game, Griffin vs. Griffin: Ultimate Showdown. As Lois, the aim of the game is to take out Stewie while he runs around the Oval office (soon to be home to Barack Obama), using a “mighty chain gun”. The game is simple, but its a bit of fun with a highscores table to attempt to get on.

I’m gonna go ahead and say that its America’s confusion not ours as we had season 1 and 2 out first which you shoved together into volume 1 thereby ensuring that we would never align.

While that’s true David, the main confusion arises from calling the box-set “season 7” when season 7 is actually the episodes currently airing for the first time in the States. People misunderstand the UK DVD release thinking that they are going to be getting those episodes not the episodes prior to that. But yes, we in the UK got Family Guy on DVD long before the US for the early seasons.

I always wished they released full seasons on both sides of the ocean a la simpsons. it would have made things a hell of a lot easier.

Hey, I want to get the new Season 1-7 boxset for a christmas present. I’m in the UK, do you know a good place to get it from? Your answers are much appreciated.

It’s currently £91.98 from Amazon.co.uk. Other sites are offering it for around about the same price. It will probably cost slightly more on the high-street.

Thanks for the answer! I have just ordered it. PFG is the best Family Guy fan website by far.
