One month ago, after learning that the BBC were putting together a chart of the top 20 Family Guy characters that had amassed the most screen-time we thought we'd have a go at predicting it. Last night BBC Three screened the countdown and our prediction results are now in. The results are very interesting!
(Just as an aside, if you haven't seen the show yet it's on again tonight at 9pm on BBC Three in the UK. If you plan on watching it you may not want to read on, spoilers do follow! Also, the show is sadly not available on iPlayer.)
One little detail that we were unaware of when we compiled our predictions was that the BBC were only ranking the characters in order of screen-time from their most popular characters (not sure how they decided on these). That said, the characters featured in the chart are reasonable choices.
So, here it is, the rundown of Family Guy characters that have the amassed the most screen-time (starting with the least amount of time in #20):-

Loretta Brown – I don't believe that any of us here at Planet Family Guy even considered Loretta for the chart, but here she is at #14. Our #14 was Barbara who actually had a lot less screen-time in the end). |

Herbert – up four places higher than our prediction. Our #13 was Neil Goldman who's not even mentioned in the BBC's chart!!! |

Stewie Griffin – who would have thought it, Stewie is actually fourth in the countdown! We had predicted that Stewie would have been second with Lois in at #4, but it turns out that it is the other way round! |

Lois Griffin – as mentioned above this is a bit of a surprise. Lois has had more screen-time than Stewie and Brian!!! |

So, the final score: we correctly predicted 8 out of the 20 positions. We managed to get 4 completely wrong as we were not expecting to see the likes of Jake or Bruce making it into the top 20, but well, there they are! Oh, and sorry Laurie we should have listened and made sure Tricia was in there!

Also, thanks to the BBC for making this little show. Season 8 starts on BBC Three tonight at 10pm with a double-bill.
