Glu Mobile who brought us the successful Family Guy: Uncensored mobile game are working on a second Family Guy title for the iPhone, Time Warped. The new game, which is expected for release in November, has a narrative arc and sees Stewie and Brian travelling back in time.
According to IGN, "the developer is working closely with the show's production staff to not just ensure authenticity, but also because everybody is treating this game as an episode of the series."
"Time Warped turns into a road movie of sorts as Stewie and Brian push through several time periods, trying to get back to the present. However, those other time periods – such as Wild West, ancient Rome, the pharaoh's Egypt – are populated by characters from Quahog. For example, in ancient Egypt, Stewie must defeat the Pharaoh Joe-tep as his gilded wheel-chariot is pulled by slave Meg."
Time Warped is a 2D action-platformer rather than a series of mini-games like the previous release.
