Russian cartoon channel 2×2 has suspended broadcasts of The Griffins (Family Guy‘s title in Russia) along with other animated shows like The Simpsons and South Park. This is in response to being “warned about ‘extremist’ content on ‘South Park’ and being threatened with the possible loss of its broadcast license.” 2×2 have stated they “disagrees with the experts’ decision” but will not broadcast these shows until the situation is sorted. Their broadcasting license is up for renewal next month.
