Glu Mobile who brought us the successful Family Guy: Uncensored mobile game are working on a second Family Guy title for the iPhone, Time Warped. The new game, which is expected for release in November, has a narrative arc and sees Stewie and Brian travelling back in time.

Another interactive site, called ‘Family Guy – Written In The Stars’ has been created by Fox to promote the upcoming release of “Family Guy: Something, Something, Something Dark Side”.

First, you are asked to select which version you’d like to write: “Mild” or “Spicy”. Then, in the tradition of the word game, ‘Mad Libs’, you are asked to provide various words to fill in the blanks of your screen crawl story. Depending on which version you choose, you may be asked to name your favorite cookie, a body part, model of your favorite car, farmyard animal, someone ugly, or something that floats.

Then, the words you provided are inserted into your custom screen crawl and can be emailed to friends, which of course promotes the DVD release.

To promote the upcoming DVD premiere of “Family Guy: Something, Something, Something Dark Side”, a game called Unarmed and Dangerous has been released by Fox.

The object of the game is to “Use The Force and your mouse to help Luke fight Darth Vader. As Vader slashes Luke, help him reattach his severed limbs. The quicker your Jedi reflexes, the more points you can earn. Allowing too many limbs to fall off screen will end your game and bring you closer to The Dark Side. It’s really cool!”

IGN are reporting that leaked information has revealed a new Family Guy game is in the works. Recently leaked information suggests that a new party game is coming to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii. The news comes from a former Game Designer at HB Studios, Chris Kolmatycki, via his Linkedin page on which his portfolio has highlighted his pre-production work for a “Family Guy Party Game”.

It has been nearly three years since the first Family Guy video game hit the shelves for the Xbox and PS2. There’s still no official word on this potential new addition, but the rumours sound reasonably reliable.

Glu Mobile have launched a mini-website to promote their Family Guy Uncensored mobile game where you can try the game for free online. If you like the game its $9.99 from the website.

A while ago we reported about a Family Guy mobile game produced by Glu. Glu have just announced that they are revamping the mobile game, Family Guy Uncensored, for the iPhone. Along with the announcement, Glu have also released some screen-shots from the game (featured above) and IGN has written an article with an exclusive preview of the game. The game will hit the App Store this September.

From the sounds of it, the game will contain the same kind of mini-games featured in the original along with revamped graphics and sounds and it makes use of the iPhone’s touch capabilities providing more interactivity.

Apple has just launched a Family Guy Themed app for the iPhone. The application, available from Fox Mobile Entertainment, includes 20 clips from the series and allows users to mix up their own Family Guy Videos from these clips. It also features Peter Toss which allows you to toss Peter Griffin through different backgrounds which trigger specific sounds and Stewie Pin Up which allows you to mix and match various body parts of Family Guy Characters. The app is valued at $1.99 and can be purchased from the iTunes store.

Glu mobile have announced that the Family Guy Uncensored mobile game will be out in the USA just before the start of season 8 this Fall. The game features multiple levels, five playable characters (Stewie, Peter, Brian, Chris, and Quagmire), and seven mini-games.

Trivial Pursuit’s latest release is the Family Guy themed travel edition. Family Guy Travel Trivial Pursuit has some 600 questions ranging from those about the regular characters to referencing recurring jokes.

The new Glu Family Guy mobile game, Family Guy Uncensored, is out now and has been reviewed by Pocket Gamer.co.uk. Their verdict is that, “Glu has produced a quality Family Guy game that doesn’t disappoint in most ways. But it’s over a little too soon and for the money you’ll fork out for it you could buy a much fuller game, just minus Peter and pals.”
