Seth MacFarlane recently paid a visit to the Family Guy corn maze at Conners Farm in Danvers, Massachusetts. Thanks to Family Guy Producer, Kara Vallow (aka teenagesleuth) for posting her pictures via Twitter.

As reported in The Boston Globe , Bob Connors, owner of Connors Farm in Danvers, Massachusetts is such a big fan of “Family Guy’’ that he mowed his corn maze into the shape of “Family Guy’’ characters Stewie and Brian.

In case you’re wondering, Fox, which airs “Family Guy,’’ is cool with the corn maze. “They waived the rights and all that,’’ Connors said. “We have to run everything by them, but they’ve been great.’’ And, really, why wouldn’t they be? It’s acres and acres of free advertising.”

Seth MacFarlane’s appearance on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien has been rescheduled to air on Thursday, October 1, 2009. Michael Moore is also scheduled to be a guest on the same show.

Seth MacFarlane was scheduled to appear on ‘The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien’ on Friday, September 25, 2009.

However, E! Online has reported that Conan O’Brien was taken by ambulance to the hospital after a fall and bumping his head, and so the filming of this Tonight Show episode was not completed. A repeat airing of an earlier episode will be broadcast instead.

Afterward, according to the report, Conan said “Last thing I remember I was enjoying the play with Mrs. Lincoln, and the next thing I knew I was in bed being served cookies and juice.”

Crave Online: Is your Empire Strikes Back episode done?

MacFarlane: We just finished editing it.

Crave Online: How did it turn out?

MacFarlane: Great, great. It almost ******* killed me. It was so much work.

Crave Online: More than Blue Harvest?

MacFarlane: Yes, more than Blue Harvest and Jedi will be [the toughest.] It’s just with the CGI, with the complexity of the animation and more than anything with the music. Trying to make the music work in a way that sounds seamless, because you’re working with the original tracks. You can spend an hour on a single edit. It’s kind of brutal.

Crave Online: What guest stars are coming up this year (on “Family Guy”)?

MacFarlane: Let’s see, Chevy and Dan, Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd, Rush Limbaugh coming up. Who’s in the season premiere? I hate this question. I always think of everyone way after the fact… Elijah Wood.

Crave Online: What are Chevy and Dan doing?

MacFarlane: They’re doing a Spies Like Us homage because I loved that movie when I was a kid and I still love it. So Stewie and Brian wind up in Russia with Dan and Chevy. We’ll work on getting Donna Dixon next time.

A councillor from County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, who allegedly resembles Family Guy‘s Peter Griffin may use the cartoon character in a political campaign: the Omagh councillor Ross Hussey was told about his animated lookalike by his nephew and a young Ulster Unionist colleague. “Personally I can see no resemblance, but I have watched it and we would have certain similar traits – that’s all I’m prepared to admit to,” said Hussey to the BBC.

The Federal Communications Commission (those guys in the PTV episode of Family Guy!) releases a Quarterly Report of indecency complaints every 3 months. As detailed in this report there were 578 complaints in January, then 505 in February, and then a crazy 179,997 in March! That happened to be the month that Family Gay aired on Fox (brain-dead horse, Peter being injected with gay gene etc) and the PTC weren’t too happy with this. They put out an Action Alert Against Family Guy urging the public to take action and complain to the FCC. Whilst their is no direct link, it sounds like Family Guy probably managed this outstanding feat!

Which show are you putting your money on (to win the Emmy)?
I would say either “The Office” or “30 Rock.”

Do you still do the drawing for “Family Guy”?
I still do a lot of drawing on a daily basis. The actual animation is done overseas in Korea. It takes nine months to do each episode.

Did you also do the drawing for your new spinoff, “The Cleveland Show”?
I did a lot of the design work. That was the first show that I split the work load with another character designer.

More generally, the show might seem to mock family values by presenting the Griffins as a self-absorbed, unattractive clan. Are you contemptuous of families?
No. I’m very much on the fence.

Which fence is that?
There are things about the single lifestyle that are very appealing.

Are you straight?
Yep. I don’t have a steady gal.

Why is that?
Oh, boy, we’re getting deep.
