Best Buy's Limited Edition Dark Side Blu-ray Lunch Box Set

Best Buy will be selling an exclusive collectors’ set that includes the upcoming Blu-ray release of “Family Guy: Something, Something, Something Dark Side”, a Family Guy t-shirt featuring Ernie The Giant Chicken as Boba Fett, and Lucas-approved Family Guy lunchbox modeled after the original “Return of the Jedi” lunchbox from the 1980’s.
This special edition set and the regular DVD and Blu-ray versions are scheduled for U.S. release on December 22, 2009.

Family Guy Uncensored to hit iPhone

A while ago we reported about a Family Guy mobile game produced by Glu. Glu have just announced that they are revamping the mobile game, Family Guy Uncensored, for the iPhone. Along with the announcement, Glu have also released some screen-shots from the game (featured above) and IGN has written an article with an exclusive preview of the game. The game will hit the App Store this September.
From the sounds of it, the game will contain the same kind of mini-games featured in the original along with revamped graphics and sounds and it makes use of the iPhone’s touch capabilities providing more interactivity.

Family Guy iPhone App
Apple has just launched a Family Guy Themed app for the iPhone. The application, available from Fox Mobile Entertainment, includes 20 clips from the series and allows users to mix up their own Family Guy Videos from these clips. It also features Peter Toss which allows you to toss Peter Griffin through different backgrounds which trigger specific sounds and Stewie Pin Up which allows you to mix and match various body parts of Family Guy Characters. The app is valued at $1.99 and can be purchased from the iTunes store.

Family Guy Volume 7 out today

Family Guy Volume 7 is out on DVD in the United States and Canada as of today. The set contains 13 episodes taken from seasons 6 and 7. Full details of Volume 7 can be found in our earlier post.
A deluxe version, Big Fat Peter Collector’s Pack, will be available at Target stores containing a Long John Peter poster and fan art collector’s booklet.

Big Fat Peter Collector's Pack
From Tuesday in the US, Target will be selling a deluxe version of Family Guy Volume 7 (also out on Tuesday), the Big Fat Peter Collector’s Pack. In addition to Volume 7 it will contain a Long John Peter poster and fan art collector’s booklet. It is priced $5 higher than the regular DVD set.

Fox increases licensing for Family Guy merchandise
World Screen is reporting that Fox Licensing & Merchandising have signed deals to increase the product range for Family Guy with the new characters of The Cleveland Show joining the range. Fox Licensing has signed Isaac Morris Limited to create a line of sportswear, fashion tops and outerwear. Expect to see some new men’s beachwear too.
Fox’s contract with American Greetings has also been extended.
