Something Something Something Darkside synopsis revealed

Stewie Vader

The official Star Wars website has revealed the synopsis for the eagerly awaited Something Something Something Darkside episode of Family Guy. Do not read on if you don’t like spoilers…

Luke (Chris), Leia (Lois), Han Solo (Peter) and Chewbacca (Brian) have evaded the dreaded Imperial Starfleet led by the cunning, conniving and curiously short evil lord Darth Vader (Stewie), setting up a new secret base on the remote ice world of Hoth. With the rebellion in trouble, young Skywalker must take the advice of his late, and rather lascivious, mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi (Herbert) and learn the ways of the “farce” under Jedi Master Yoda (Carl) to save the galaxy once and for all.

Meanwhile Princess Leia (Lois) finds herself taking a shine to the scruffy pilot Han Solo (Peter) and, against all odds, the two soon fall in love. But an encounter with Han’s old friend Lando Calrissian (Mort) lands them in the clutches of the Empire. Envisioning this, Luke chooses to forgo his Jedi training to save his friends. It all comes to a head in a climactic confrontation with Darth Vader himself. Family Guy proves that even in the far reaches of space, the dark side can be much lighter!

Partial Terms of Endearment spoilers

Lois Griffin

Warning this post contains spoilers about the unaired abortion episode of Family Guy, Partial Terms of Endearment.

The controversial season 8 episode that Fox have decided not to air for business reasons will eventually appear on a future DVD release. In it Lois Griffin acts as a surrogate mother for an infertile couple, who are then killed in a car crash, leaving Lois with a tough decision. “The episode was originally supposed to conclude on a vague note, with Lois’ verdict left unclear,” reports The Live Feed. “But creator Seth MacFarlane added a coda at the very end, with Lois’ husband Peter poking his head into the frame to tell viewers, ‘She had the abortion.’”

Some sources have described the episode “very graphic, very morbid”, particularly about the abortion process.

Fox entertainment president, Kevin Reilly, has said that there were a couple of problematic scenes in the episode. Fox had advised doing the scenes one way, but Seth MacFarlane opted for another.

On a different note, Seth MacFarlane has confirmed a Family Guy-??The Cleveland Show?? cross-over episode next spring with characters from the new spin-off series returning to Family Guy.

Comic Con 09: Family Guy season 8 spoilers

Family Guy Comic Con panel

Seth MacFarlane and fellow cast members Seth Green, Mila Kunis, Alex Borstein, as well as Steve Callaghan, David Goodman, Mark Hentemann, and Kara Vallow made up this year’s Family Guy panel at Comic Con. IGN have called it: “one of the funniest panels at Comic-Con ’09”.

Here’s what they said we could expect from season 8 of Family Guy:-

  • Peter, Joe and Quagmire search for the source of all dirty jokes
  • Meg goes to prison and comes back angry
  • Chris finally reveals the Evil Monkey to the family
  • Lois takes up boxing
  • Brian gets behind the wheel drunk, then kills a dog; after confessing he learns that nobody cares
  • Lois hires Superman’s maid, Consuela
  • Peter has an affair with a cardboard cut out of Kathy Ireleand

There’s also going to be an episode about an unwanted pregnancy, but this is being kept for a DVD-only release as Fox have decided that it is inappropriate for television.

Also, expect to see an hour long two-part ‘who done it?’ episode featuring James Wood in the future!

Season 7 ends in May with a run of new episodes

Wentworth Miller, Lauren Conrad, and Chace Crawford

Family Guy‘s 7th season comes to an end in May with a run of new episodes featuring an impressive cast of guest voices: Drew Barrymore, Lauren Conrad, Chace Crawford, Richard Dreyfuss, Neil Patrick Harris, Wentworth Miller, Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, and Jennifer Tilly all feature in the final run. The new episodes include Stew-Roids (April 26th), We Love You Conrad (May 3rd), Peter’s Progress (May 10th), and the season finale Three Kings (May 17th).

Stew-Roids

Jennifer Tilly, Wentworth Miller and Chace Crawford guest-voice an all-new FAMILY GUY. After Stewie gets his baby butt kicked by Joe’s infant daughter, he starts to hit the gym. It seems like all of Stewie’s hard work is paying off until Peter drops a bombshell revealing just how Stewie got those six-pack abs. Meanwhile, Chris starts to date a popular girl at school.

We Love You Conrad

When Brian discovers that his ex, Jillian (guest voice Drew Barrymore) is getting married, he is devastated until he meets “The Hills” star Lauren Conrad (guest-voicing as herself). Brian quickly discovers that Lauren just might be his perfect match if only he can let Jillian go. Audrina Patridge, Jay Leno, Craig Ferguson and Jimmy Fallon also guest-voice in the all-new episode.

Peter’s Progress

Peter has his palm read by a psychic who reveals that he had a fascinating past life as Griffin Peterson, a dignified gentleman who vied for the love of Lady Redbush in 17th century England and in the newly founded American colony of Quahog. It was a time of great love and adventure where King Stewart reigned supreme, the smartest dog in the room was the court jester, army lieutenants were merely boys and even old England loved “How I Met Your Mother” (Jason Segel, Neil Patrick Harris and Josh Radnor guest-voice).

Three Kings (season finale)

After Peter discovers the writing of Stephen King, he imagines his family and friends in three of King’s most famous works. First, Peter, Quagmire, Cleveland and Joe as 12-year-olds travel along a railroad track on a journey of self-discovery narrated by Richard Dreyfuss (guest-voicing as himself). Second, Brian is injured in a bad car crash only to be “rescued” by his “number one fan,” Stewie. Finally, Cleveland and Peter become fast friends in prison.

All new Family Guy throughout March

The Griffins

With only one new episode of Family Guy so far this year fans have had to be very patient with the current new season. Fox look to bring an end to that wait with new episodes airing throughout March. The new episodes are Family Gay (March 8), The Juice Is Loose (March 15), FOX-y Lady (March 22), and Not All Dogs Go to Heaven (March 29).

Family Gay

To help pay off his incredible debt, Peter participates in medical experiments to make some extra cash. First, he is injected with the “Seth Rogen” gene (guest voice Seth Rogen) that “gives you the appearance of being funny even though you haven’t actually done anything funny.” Then he is injected with a gene that leads him to a new mate, leaving a broken-hearted Lois behind. Although the family is crushed, they quickly realize the most important thing is that Peter is happy.

The Juice Is Loose

Peter cashes in a raffle ticket he won in 1989 and the prize is a golf outing with O.J. Simpson, whom Peter befriends and brings home to the family. But the residents of Quahog aren’t welcoming to the new resident.

FOX-y Lady

Lois lands a job at FOX News where her first assignment is to shoot an investigative expose on a liberal filmmaker, but when her story implicates a conservative radio host, she gets canned.

Not All Dogs Go to Heaven

The cast of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” including Patrick Stewart, Levar Burton, Gates McFadden, Michael Dorn, Wil Wheaton, Denise Crosby, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner and Jonathan Frakes provides guest voices on the last all-new March episode of FAMILY GUY. The Griffin family heads to the annual Quahog “Star Trek” convention, but Stewie blows a fuse when he doesn’t get a chance to ask his favorite “Star Trek: The Next Generation” cast members any questions. He devises a plan, builds a transporter and beams the entire cast to his bedroom so they can spend a fun-filled day together in Quahog.
