Happy new year everyone from the staff at Planet Family Guy.

We’ve been posting a lot about the current art exhibition going on in Los Angeles inspired by Family Guy (take a look at our feature What the Deuce!?! for details). Now it seems that the staff from the show are getting in on the act.
The folk at Family Guy have been putting on art shows in the Family Guy studios of work they’ve produced and selling them for charity. Their latest show, Winter, has raised $5,200 for the Children’s Miracle Network according to the latest post on their blog (where they’ve posted some pics). The painting of Stewie is by Jeff Stewart, and after the jump there’s a collection of Family Guy glass ornaments by Zac Moncreif.
Congratulations to everyone from Family Guy for their hard work and raising all that money for charity.

Incredibly Planet Family Guy is 6 years old today! Well actually we are slightly older than that1, but the site has existed as Planet Family Guy for 6 years as of today. A lot has changed here since November 2000 (including the launch of two new sites, Damn You All and Planet American Dad), but we continue to bring you the latest news and indepth guides as we always have. I don’t think that when this was started we ever thought it would still be here all those years later!
So, “Happy Birthday to us!”
1 Technically the site existed before that for about a month as There’s Something About Family Guy after Stewie’s Minions (aka Save Family Guy) and There’s Something About Family Guy merged.

We’ve been sent an e-mail from the people at Critter Camp about a rescued bearded dragon they’ve named Quagmire. Apparently he’s named after Family Guy’s Quamire as he bobs his head whenever he sees a female. See the video evidence below.

How a big a Family Guy fan are you? Well one of our visitors obviously really loves the show as he’s got a couple of Family Guy tattoos; one of Stewie and one of the Evil Monkey.

We recently received a few fan-submitted American Dad promos and thought they were great.

We’d just like to share with you a couple of recent fan creations.
The first is a comic from PopCarnage.com. The second is a game for Windows called “Stewie’s Quest- Destroy All Broccoli!” by KCGames. You’ll have to scroll about halfway down the page to find it.

We recently received a couple of interesting emails from people who’ve added a little something to the Family Guy community.
The first is from Wally at the DailyHaHa.com. It’s a Stewie sound board, the first of several Family Guy sound boards he plans on making. Keep an eye out on the dialyhaha.com’s soundboards page for his latest Family Guy creations!
The second was sent to us by the people at Evil Rook Productions. They’ve thrown together an “audio play”* of a fan fiction script called “The Broadband Connection.”
Take a second to check them out!
Audio play link removed at the request of the site owner

Check out this rather strange fan-created video mish-mash. It’s in the format of a movie trailer with Family Guy content and a Sin City false color effect. Enjoy.
Unfortunately, this site’s monthly bandwidth was exceeded making the video unavailable.
The site is back up
