in Site updates
As many of you will be aware this site has seen a rapid decline in the number of updates over the last few months. This has been the result of a lack of free time available from the staff who work on the site as a result of our changing lives.
We have been running this site since 2000 after the merger of the two former fansites “Stewie’s Minions” and “There’s Something About Family Guy”. Unfortunately, we can no longer put in the hours required to continue to make this site what it has been over the last 7 years. Therefore, this will be our final update on this site.
Our forums, Damnyouall.net, will remain open for the foreseeable future. You can continue to send all hate-mail, love letters, and any other inquiries to staff@planet-familyguy.com.
We would like to thank the staff of “Family Guy” and all the fans for your support over the years in helping make Planet Family Guy what it was.
All the staff at pFG

in Spoilers
According to TVSquad.com, next season’s opening episode will be a spoof of the Star Wars movies. Apparently it was approved by the George Lucas camp and could be a full hour.
For those of you that are curious, there is a ten minute preveiw that’s been posted on YouTube for your viewing pleasure. It appears that Fox didn’t want this clip online and it has since been removed.

As mentioned previously, Carol Burnett filed a Copyright infringement lawsuit against 20th Century Fox for their portrayal of her Charwoman character in a recent episode. A federal judge threw out the case claiming that while distasteful, the segment did nothing to harm her image.

Carol Burnett, a woman who has made a living off spoofing popular culture, is suing 20th Century Fox over a copyright infringement. In April 2006, a Family Guy episode showed Burnett’s character Charwoman as a woman cleaning an adult store. Apparently, Burnett feels that this spoof is worth a $2 million lawsuit.

After Peters dad, Francis, dies, he finds out from Thelma that his real father lives in Ireland. So Peter and Brian head there in search of his father, who ends up being the town drunk, which is a great honor, and he challenges him to a drinking game to prove his paternity. Meanwhile, Stewie acts out and Lois spanks him, but he quickly realizes that he likes it and does whatever he can to get into trouble.

Brian Froud’s Swiss Family Guy Robinson has been cancelled by Fox! The hit Canadian one-man show inspired by Family Guy has been going from strength to strength in Canada, but sadly the Fox lawyers have moved in and decided to put an end to it.
You can help bring the show back to the stage by signing the petition that’s been put online.
If you don’t know about Brian Froud or Swiss Family Guy Robinson then check out the interview we did with Brian Froud last year.
Update: The Toronto Star has an article on the cancellation of the show.

Stern Pinball have produced a Family Guy pinball machine and features exclusive never before heard phrases by Seth MacFarlane.
The Family Guy pinball machine introduces a unique element to pinball—Stewie’s mini-playfield. Stewie’s mini-playfield is a small pinball playfield that sits in the upper right hand corner of the main playfield. It has mini-flippers that the player controls with the regular flipper buttons when the game is in ‘Stewie mini-playfield’ mode. The mini-playfield even has ramps and targets to shoot at while a toy of Stewie turns on its axis in front of the mini-playfield and taunts the player into believing they have no chance of beating Stewie.
Additional features on the game include: character figures of each of the six Griffin family members by Mezco Toys; a Patriot Ale can with a Brian Griffin toy standing on top that can be struck by the ball (the game owner will be provided with an extra set of decals if they want to change Patriot Ale to Patriot Root Beer); two captive pinballs, which spell out P-I-N-B-A-L-L when struck; and plenty of multi-ball features.
