Originally married to Loretta Brown, they divorced after he learnt that she had been having an affair with his best friend Glen Quagmire, citing Cleveland's lack of passion as the reason for her infidelity.
Cleveland and Loretta have one son, Cleveland Jr., who has ADHD.
Cleveland now owns a delicatessen called Cleveland's Deli and is the president of the Quahog chamber of commerce. However, originally he worked as an auctioneer until a totem pole fell and hit him on the head causing his speech to become slow like in the present.
