Blind Ambition

When Quagmire gains local fame from saving a girls life, Peter becomes jealous of his friends' achievements so decides to attempt to make a new word record by eating as many nickels as he can. However, things go horribly wrong and Peter loses his eye sight.

Note
The headlines on Horace's wall of fame read: "Local Hero Saves Life" (refering to Quagmire), "Local Jew Excels in Sport" (Mort), and "Crip Cop Cuffs Crip" (Joe).
The headline on the Quahog Informant at the end of the episode reads: "Hobo Killed in Dragging Death Donates Eyes to Local Hero." This of course is used as an explanation to why in the next episode Peter can see again after being blind for most of this one.
We discover in this episode that Mort Goldman is Jewish.
