Exclusive web episodes of Family Guy to be produced

Posted by Andy on Friday, December 09, 2005

According to the MediaWeek website, “Fox will produce original episodes of it’s resurrected hit Family Guy exclusively for the Web sometime next year.”

President of Fox Interactive Media, Ross Levinsohn, said that the episodes would be distributed through recent Fox acquistions MySpace.com and IGN.com, as well as Fox.com, whilst speaking at the UBS 33rd Annual Global Media Conference in New York.

(It would appear to be a busy week for Family Guy news).

this is great! , but i hope they mean the Tv-fmail guy episodes.. if that happens downloading it would be made legal.

Hollo, considering the article says 'exclusively for the Web' then the episodes will not be the ones on TV! If they were to make the TV episodes legal to download it would come at a price otherwise they wouldn't make money from DVD sales.

no because if they specifically say these are free to download that has no affect on the dvd rips of earlier seasons. plus ive never heard anybody state one way or another on tv rips.
