As mentioned previously, Carol Burnett filed a Copyright infringement lawsuit against 20th Century Fox for their portrayal of her Charwoman character in a recent episode. A federal judge threw out the case claiming that while distasteful, the segment did nothing to harm her image.

Carol Burnett, a woman who has made a living off spoofing popular culture, is suing 20th Century Fox over a copyright infringement. In April 2006, a Family Guy episode showed Burnett’s character Charwoman as a woman cleaning an adult store. Apparently, Burnett feels that this spoof is worth a $2 million lawsuit.

The writing staff of Family Guy have returned back to work. Contract negotiations between Seth Macfarlane and 20th Century Fox caused the writers to delay their work in early October. While there is still no official word of a newly penned contract, it seems as though Macfarlane and 20th Century Fox have reached some sort of conclusion. Upon their return, the writers have been writing scripts for the 6th season of the show.

The good people at IGN scored an interview with Family Guy’s Mike Henry. For those of you who don’t know, Mike Henry does the voices of Cleveland, Herbert, and the Greased Up Deaf Guy in addition to writing for the show. In the interview, Henry comments on his characters, his response to South Park’s “Cartoon Wars” episodes, a Family Guy feature film, and “Kicked In The Nuts.” The interview defiantly deserves a quick read, so check it out.
