Australia: Family Guy - Seasons 1-5 Collection

Posted by Andy on Wednesday, November 08, 2006 in Australasia

The Family Guy – Seasons 1-5 Collection will be released on region 4 DVD in Australia on November 29th. Although the set claims to be seasons 1-5 it will actually be the episodes from seasons 1-4 as listed on this site; the seasons are being marketed differently in Australia to how Fox is defining them in the States (don’t ask us why). The packaging for this set looks pretty decent, and unique in comparison with the same set being sold in the US and UK.

MAD TV to Parody Family Guy

Posted by Zach on Sunday, November 05, 2006

Family Guy has a lot of history with MAD TV. In the beginning, Family Guy was supposed to air as animated shorts on MAD TV. That didn’t work out, but something good did come out of it. That is where Seth Macfarlane met Alex Borstein. Then, in the October 2005 issue of MAD magazine, Family Guy was satired multiple times. On November 11th, the history between Family Guy and MAD will grow.

Next Saturday, MAD TV will be airing a live action parody of Family Guy. Seth Macfarlane will be guest starring as Peter, Bobby Lee will be playing Stewie, Frank Caeti will be playing Chris, Arden Myrin will be playing Lois, and Crista Flanagan will be playing Meg. This MAD TV airs November 11th, 11/10:00c, on Fox. Be sure to tune in.
