Ever wanted to own a signed copy of a Family Guy script? Or better still, actually be there at a table read? Now’s your chance.
Seth McFarlane has donated a chance to attend a Family Guy table reading as well as a signed script to raise money for the charity, People For the American Way. People For the American Way is an organisation that defends democracy.
Bid for the table read here (please note that you must be 12 or over to participate) and the script here (the script is for the episode North By North Quahog and signed by Seth MacFarlane).
At the time of posting this news the bidding stands at $350.00 for the script and $1,500.00 for the table reading. The auctions close on December 13th at 6pm EST. Details of the charity can be found on the People For the American Way website.
Go get bidding and good luck!

In a radio interview with Colin Murray on BBC Radio 1 last night, Seth MacFarlane (creator of Family Guy) named his five(/six) favourite Family Guy moments. Here they are:-
- Da Boom! – Peter feeds tomato soup to Tom Selleck on the television, Seth likes it because it is beyond Peter stupidity!
- PTV – Bin Laden making a video and struggling to say Ramadan.
- The Cleveland-Loretta Quagmire – The AIDS song. / Sibling Rivalry – the Barber Shop quartet sing the vasectomy song.
- 8 Simple Rules for Buying My Teenage Daughter – Peter, Brian, Stewie, and Chris drink Ipecac to see who vomits first in order to get the last piece of pie.
- Patriot Games – Peter sings Shaboopy!. Seth said that he likes this Family Guy moment as he finds jokes that go on slightly longer than they should hilarious!
The Colin Murray show featuring the chat with Seth MacFarlane will be available to listen to on-demand from the BBC Radio 1 website until next Thursday (November 23rd).

Production on the sixth season of Family Guy due to start airing on Fox from the Fall 2007 has been delayed. Seth MacFarlane’s contract with Fox expires in the next few months and an agreement for a new contract is yet to be reached. Production for the new episodes should have begun by now, but the contract discussions are holding back production.
According to TV.com the “production office of the show remains empty however, with staff being told not to report to work until the contract is finalized.” Apparently Seth MacFarlane is holding out for a better deal as a result of Family Guy and American Dad’s recent ratings success helping Fox anchor its Sunday night animation block.
“Fox says negotiations are friendly and that the deal will be fixed up in the next few weeks.”
