The Family Guy Video Game has won an award at this year’s Spike TV Video Game Awards. The game released earlier this year on PS2, PSP, and Xbox, has won the award for “Best Cast”. Seth MacFarlane accepted the award at last Friday’s star studded event.
Family Guy Video Game was up for five awards including “Best Game Based on a Movie or TV Show” and “Best Performance by a Human – Male” (for Seth MacFarlane).
Congratulations to the Family Guy cast for winning the award.
The awards ceremony can be seen tonight from 10pm on Spike TV.

The “Spike TV 2006 Video Game Awards” is an annual event celebrating the video games of the past year. This year, one of the games being celebrated is the Family Guy video game. It has received 5 nominations in 5 different categories.
The Family Guy video game has been nominated for “Best Game Based on a Movie or TV Show” and “Best Cast.” Seth MacFarlane was nominated for “Best Performance by a Human – Male.” Seth Green was nominated for “Best Supporting Male Performance.” And last, but defiantly not least, Mila Kunis was nominated for “Best Supporting Female Performance.”
The “Spike TV 2006 Video Game Awards” will air on Spike TV on Wednesday, December 13th. To vote for Family Guy and other video games, click the link below.

The Family Guy Video Game has now hit the shelves (a week earlier than we were originally told). The game is available on the PS2, PSP, and Xbox (purchases from these links will help the running costs of this site).
The game is voiced and scripted by members of the real Family Guy TV show creative team, so expect the usual Family Guy humour. It features loads of characters and locations from the show and involves combat, stealth and puzzle-solving gameplay. We’ve got a third preview clip from the Family Guy Video Game that is being released October 25th on the PS2, PSP, and Xbox. The clip showcases the first Brian level in which he gets arrested on the charge of getting Seabreeze pregnant… again! We’ve also been sent the box-art for the three versions of the game by 2K Games which you’ll find after the jump.

For all of you that are anticipating the Family Guy video game, I bring you good news. 2K Games has just released brand new screenshots of the game. If you’re thinking about buying this game, you might want to click the link below.
There are a few pieces of news to give you guys today, so I will round them up in this post.
Spike TV’s weekly video game show Game Head will be airing a Family Guy video game special this Saturday night (September 16th) at midnight. The show features the first exclusive video game footage released by 2K Games, as well as, interviews with Seth Green, Mila Kunis, producer/writer Steve Callaghan, and Mayor Adam West himself! The season 5 opener on Sunday was the 14th most watched program of the night with 9.9 million viewers. American Dad came in 21st with 8.9 million (for the latest American Dad news visit our sister site Planet American Dad). (Source: E!)
In the latest round of syndication deals Fox is receiving around $2 million per episode! “According to Daily Variety, 20th Century Fox Television has pre-sold reruns of the show to TV stations reaching approximately 70% of U.S. viewers. The 93 episodes of Seth MacFarlane’s Emmy Award-winning show won’t be available to air until the fall of 2007.” (Source: Animation Magazine)
Lastly a reminder to those who have missed it. Planet Family Guy has an exclusive interview with Brian Froud for you. Brian Froud is the comedian who spent the summer in Toronto performing his one-man Family Guy show. Brian will next be performing in Ottawa, Ontario on Sept 15th and Guelph, Ontario on Sept 21st. Then at the Diesel Playhouse in Toronto Sept 26th – Oct 1st and Oct 3rd – 8th. Those in the New York area can catch the show at Rochester, New York on Sept 22nd – 24th.
