Dan Povenmire Moves On

Well known Family Guy director, Dan Povenmire, will be leaving the show in order to persue his dream of having his own show. His show “Phineas and Ferb” has been picked up by The Disney Channel and this will unfortunately cause Mr. Povenmire to concentrate on his show instead of Family Guy.

Povenmire has directed several episodes including Road to Rhode Island , To Love and Die in Dixie , Brian Wallows & Peter Swallows , Road to Europe , When You Wish Upon A Weinstein , Brian The Bachelor , PTV , and Sibling Rivalry . He’s done excellent work on all of these episodes and has helped bring many laughs to many people.

Povenmire’s last Family Guy episode is entitled “Meet the Quagmires” and it is currently in development. “Phineas and Ferb” is scheduled to air by September 2007. Planet Family Guy wishes Mr. Povenmire the best of luck.

I really want to see the episode Meet the quagmires. And every episode he directed where just fan,tastic episodes. good luck with your new show Dan.

I really would like to see this new show do well for Dan. However, I would also hope that if for some strange reason it doesn't work out, a.k.a getting cancelled, that he will be encouraged by the Family Guy staff to come back. Most of those episodes mentioned above are excellent!
